Every Match Has Something To Teach.
Film Room Futbol is an independent soccer video analysis service for ambitious youth players. Coach Julio Rubio reviews full match footage and delivers a position-specific evaluation and a clear development plan.
Trusted by players, parents & coaches
Every minute of three full games reviewed — no sampling, no highlights-only.
Each involvement isolated, labeled and organized into a library you keep.
Judged against the demands of the role — a right back is never graded like a striker.
Why Film Room Futbol?
Recording platforms like Veo and Trace capture the game. Film Room Futbol interprets it — one player at a time, frame by frame, with the honesty a development plan actually requires.
Independent Evaluation
Your team coach watches everyone. We study one player — yours — with no roster politics and no agenda beyond improvement.
Position-Specific Feedback
A right back and a striker should never be graded the same way. Every player is evaluated against the demands of their position.
Development Blueprint
Every evaluation ends with a personalized roadmap — so the next month of training targets what the game actually demands.
One game shows moments. Three games reveal patterns.

I'm Julio Rubio. I've spent years coaching high-level youth soccer and evaluating players in competitive college and club environments. As a player I competed at Seattle University and CSUN, where I finished my senior season tenth in the nation in assists, before playing two professional seasons. Film Room Futbol exists because I believe every ambitious player deserves honest, independent feedback focused on helping them improve.
The goal is not just to clip highlights. The goal is to help players understand their game, recognize patterns, and train with a clear purpose.
"I watch your player's film the way I'd want someone to watch my own kid's — completely, honestly, and with their future in mind."

"Coach Julio saw things in my game that I didn't even realize. The plan helped me train with more purpose."
"This report makes my sessions more effective because I can build training around what actually happens in games."
Frequently Asked
For the full Performance Evaluation, three matches are recommended because one game shows moments, but three games reveal patterns.
Turnaround time depends on the package and current schedule, but the goal is to provide a thorough, professional review without rushing the process.
Yes. The report is designed to be shareable with parents, coaches, and private trainers so everyone can align around the player's development priorities.
Film Room Futbol is best for committed players who compete in serious club environments and want honest, detailed feedback.
If the footage is not usable, Film Room Futbol will communicate that before completing the evaluation and help determine the best next step.
No. Each evaluation is position-specific, so the review is based on the actual demands of the player's role.
Full-match footage from any source works: Veo, Trace, Hudl, Pixellot, a YouTube or Google Drive link, or a phone recording from the sideline. Wide-angle footage that keeps your player in frame is ideal. Highlight reels alone are not enough — patterns only show up in full games.
Yes, and it is encouraged. The 30-minute Zoom review is for the player and the family together, so everyone leaves aligned on the same priorities and the same language for the next block of training.
Yes. College coaches evaluate decision-making, positioning and movement off the ball on film — the same things this evaluation measures. The report and clipped video library give families an honest picture of where a player stands before reaching out to programs. Film Room Futbol is not a recruiting service and does not contact coaches on your behalf.
Veo, Trace and similar platforms record the game and auto-clip moments. Film Room Futbol is the interpretation layer on top: an experienced coach watches every minute, evaluates the player against the demands of their position, and turns what he sees into a written development plan and a live review conversation.
